This project has recived funding from the European Union`s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 871072. The project is developed in cooperation with The Arctic University of Norway, University of Tartu, Riga Technical University, Lithuanian Energy Institute, Frantsevich Institute for Problems of Materials Science of NAS of Ukraine and Institute for Safety Problems of Nuclear Power Plants NАS of Ukraine.
The goal of the project is to test samples of modified BF with different neutron and gamma absorbers boron, hafnium, yttrium, gadolinium components). To assessment the protective properties against neutron and gamma radiation of ordinary and heavy concrete reinforced by modified basalt fiber for use in NE (NRs and FRs) and radioactive waste management (SNF storages and storages of radioactive waste).
The implementation of the project started on May 1, 2024 and ends on April 30, 2025.
The project is financially supported by and the available funding is 78 000.00 euros.
